Spatial correlations and driving mechanisms of low-carbon agricultural development in china

Low-carbon agricultural development in China is a prerequisite for rural revitalization and key to achieving socio-economic green transformation. This paper used data from 30 Chinese provinces 2001 2020, considering both carbon emissions farming livestock, low-carbon total factor productivity (ALTFP) was measured using the RSBM-GML index. Based on this, network characteristics driving mechanisms of synergistic agriculture were explored with help an improved gravity model social analysis, dominant are identified. The study revealed that spatially linked ALTFP exhibits multi-threaded spillover non-adjacent provinces, whole has sparse structure hierarchy. eastern regions such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang at core network, closer ties other stronger role allocating resources. While western Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu located periphery weaker access Meanwhile, spatial proximity widening differences urbanization levels financial support agriculture, narrowing educational attainment labor have significantly contributed formation provincial linkages. reveals China’s government needs give full play “leaders”, promote balanced coordinated regional China. In addition, policy makers should further optimize allocation resource elements between provinces. findings provide reference suggestions regionally differentiated plans.
